ASA Golf Tournament – Raising funds for KidSports Alberta

The ASA Golf Tournament has chosen to raise funds for KidSport Alberta through the Shaw Birdies for Kids program presented by AltaLink. This is a non-profit program under the Calgary Shaw Charity Classic Foundation. Donations directed to a participating charity are matched up to 50% using the Foundation matching pool.
The vision of KidSport is an Alberta where all children have the opportunity to participate in sports. KidSport supports children who need financial assistance with sports registration fees and equipment costs. They believe that the power of sport participation promotes the development of children’s social, mental and physical well-being. With your support, KidSport Alberta helps local kids experience the lifelong benefits of sport; kids learn leadership, hard work, dedication, and self-confidence and build the habits and support network necessary to become healthy adults.
Sport is one of the best gifts a kid can receive. KidSport Alberta helps us make it So ALL Kids Can Play!

Thank you to our SPONSORS!

NAIT Graphic Communication Practicum

NAIT Graphic Communication Practicum

A message from Norm:

Hello, my name is Norm Peterson and I am the Academic Chair for the NAIT Graphic Communications program.

This coming April 2018, we will be sending out Graphic Communications students on a two-week Professional Experience to help them gain practical, hands-on industry training, and to apply their learned skillset from NAIT. If you would like to host a student for two weeks in April, we would really appreciate the support. There are no expectations from your organization other than to return a signed insurance form and provide a quick feedback survey upon the completion of the practicum. Students are covered under NAIT insurance while on the practicum.

Please review the details for the upcoming practicum. If you are unable to help us this year, feel free to forward this email onto someone that could be in a position to help out. We cannot guarantee that every organization will receive a practicum student, but we will do our best to accommodate all requests.

Once students complete the Graphic Communications practicum, they would be available for employment, as their NAIT studies would be complete. If you are looking to hire someone this would be a great opportunity to “test drive” a potential candidate for two weeks at no cost to your organization. There is no expectation of employment, but we would hope the student would be provided a good learning experience.

For more information about the Graphic Communications program, please click on the web-links in my signature listed below.

Click on the link below to review the attached PDF for details for the upcoming practicum if you have any questions or concerns please contact us and we can clarify any specifics. We look forward to hearing from you.
