Course Overview

This full-day, industry-specific training is delivered by Schram Crane & Rigging Ltd. and is designed specifically for professionals working in the sign industry.

To meet Workplace Health and Safety requirements for operators of overhead hoists, participants must demonstrate competency in the rigging techniques required for sign installation. The course begins with approximately two hours of elementary rigging instruction, followed by classroom and practical training.

A minimum score of 70% is required on each examination and practical assessment to successfully complete the course.

Successful participants will receive a certificate valid for three (3) years.

Cancellation Policy

Student Cancellations

Cancellations must be received at least seven (7) business days prior to the course date. Refunds will not be issued for cancellations received after this deadline or for no-shows.

Alberta Sign Association Cancellations

The Alberta Sign Association reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a course due to circumstances including, but not limited to:

• Insufficient registration (fewer than five participants)
• Instructor availability
• Classroom or equipment availability
• Public health or other unforeseen circumstances

Whenever possible, participants will be notified at least five (5) days prior to the scheduled course date.
